B. Circle time:
This is our group time together where we encourage language-based learning.
It is used to elaborate on specific areas of discussion and reinforce new concepts. Experiments, felt boards, puppets and many different creative mediums are utilized.
C. Snack time:
A healthy snack is provided mid morning and afternoon.
D. Music and movement time:
All children need to move and enjoy music. We provide many tools to enjoy that special time, i.e., parachutes, hoops, balls, beanbags, instruments, scarves. Tapes and CD's are all used to create the most exciting musical experiences!
E. Playground Time: We feel that outdoor playtime is very important for children. Our three, fully equipped playgrounds provide exercise and activities to help develop motor skills.
Special Days:
Daddy's Day/Parent Visiting Day is held one Saturday in the spring. We invite dad, or any adult family member who would like to visit to participate in an abbreviated version of our class time. This provides an opportunity to meet our teachers and find out what we are learning.
Mommy's Day: Mother's day is celebrated with gifts, snacks and songs for our special moms. It is usually the Friday before Mother's Day.
Open House: This is a visiting day set up before our opening day in the fall to introduce our new students to their teachers and classrooms. Parents are given a description of the year's program.
Special Visitors: As part of our varied and excited learning units, we bring in professionals to help the children understand the concepts more clearly. Hands on learning is always the most valuable tool for children. It is not unusual to find dentists, doctors, policemen, firemen, and others visiting our school.
Parent Conferences: Two scheduled conferences are available each year. Our staff is always accessible by phone or email to discuss issues regarding your child.
